News » Invitation to tender for the BPA Shop franchise
The BPA Shop franchise is available to be re-let initially for a 3 year period and applications are invited by the Development Committee. The Committee is looking for submission of a business plan by applicant franchisees. Click on the more button below for details. Senders of any outline proposals shortlisted by the BPA Development Committee (which will be no more than three) will be invited to work up their proposals into a bid. Please send outline proposals to skydive[at]bpa.org.uk by no later than 30 March 2015.
The franchisee will own the stock and operate the BPA Shop selling clothing and parachute ancillary equipment (BPA does not permit it to sell parachute equipment), with 10% of gross profit from sales of BPA branded items and £15 per skydiving voucher sold.
The BPA Shop was online but was hardly trading and needs a re-launch with an investment of capital by the new franchisee. We believe that use of the BPA brand is a valuable asset and the right commercial approach could turn the BPA Shop into a win-win-win for BPA members, the franchisee and BPA as the franchisor. For the list of items the BPA Shop is and is not permitted to sell, please see below.
It is a crowded market, and there is lots of competition. BPA is looking for a sound, costed business case, backed by investment, to make the BPA Shop an asset. If that may be you or your organisation, wed like to receive an outline proposal (in no more than 1000 words) from you. Senders of any outline proposals shortlisted by the BPA Development Committee (which will be no more than three) will be invited to work up their proposals into a bid. Please send outline proposals to skydive[at]bpa.org.uk by no later than 30 March 2015. Informed opinions about the market are welcome too, to help the Development Committee to decide whats best for the future.
