The contract involves producing content for BPA digital and print channels, as well as invigorating and energising BPA communications with new ideas to keep us in the vanguard. With our knowledge of skydiving coupled with the expertise of a media partner, the skys the limit!
It is envisaged (at the discretion of the BPA) that this contract will run for three years from autumn 2016 inclusive of a satisfactory probationary period (subject to performance) and will thereafter be reviewed annually and considered for renewal triennially as appropriate.
Expressions of interest in tendering are now invited for the contract as BPA Media Partner to edit (through the good offices of our specialist Editor, who will be contracted to our media partner) and manage the production and distribution of six issues per year of our members' magazine, BPA Skydive the Mag (6000 copies per issue) and its associated website, hosted with the BPA website. This will also include the BPAs Starter Mag (in print and digital) for first-time jumpers, skydiving calendar (annually), and the coordination and publication of real-time up-to-date skydiving news content for BPA websites and social media, together with PR activity to ensure the profile of the sport is best communicated and maximise exposure. The contract also includes communications support for the UKs leading skydiving exhibition and conference, BPA Skydive the Expo, held concurrently with our AGM and Gala Dinner. In addition, by mutual agreement, the contract may be extended to cover sundry other publications, apps, etc, that BPA may from time to time require at such additional fees as may be negotiated.
The contract covers the full range of production from inception, through commissioning and editorial across the full range of content including news, safety, information and educational articles for dissemination through appropriate BPA media channels (including BPA Skydive the Mag, 84-96 pages in full colour, including printing and distribution). The successful contractor will be required to work towards continuing reduction of the annual cost to members of the Magazine each year by exploitation of non-member subscription sales and advertising sales both in the Magazine and on its associated website; and to identify to the BPA other commercial opportunities for the Magazine including online. The intellectual property of the Magazine, its content and and associated websites will remain with British Parachute Association Ltd.
