BPA AGM Day goes stratospheric!

A highlight of BPA AGM Day at the Leicester Marriott on Saturday 26 January 2013 will be a presentation on the Red Bull Stratos programme by BPA Member Anu Ojha, Director of the National Space Academy, based at the National Space Centre in Leicester.  Anu (centre)  is pictured with US pioneer Joe Kittinger (left) and current world record holder Felix Baumgartner (right).  See the AGM Day page for all the day has to offer.  See you there!

Anu's presentation will cover some of the spaceflight/physiological commonalities/challenges, the history of failed attempts including demonstrations of the effect of low pressure on liquids, suit challenges to mobility, aerodynamic control (or lack of it) in the high stratosphere at sub-terminal speeds and an analysis of that nasty transonic spin.
