As part of BPA's contract with our media partner Archant Dialogue, we're running a campaign in Archant print and digital media to let everyone know about our fantastic sport. With an estimated reach of 3.7m people across a range of Archant titles, our message to first-time jumpers is 'This jump will... make my year / help a good cause / rock my world / prove I can fly'. To learn 'more about skydiving and what a jump will do for you', people are encouraged to visit bpa.org.uk/your-first-jump

At its meeting on 7 August, BPA Council appointed 3Si to develop its new Personal Information Management System (PIMS) and web hub. Based at Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire, 3Si Limited specialises in providing the UK not-for-profit sector with versatile and customisable member relations management software under the brand name OM.net. 3Si emerged from an open competitive tender process as BPA's preferred bidder. 35 expressions of interest resulted in 11 bids for the contract. The bids were considered by BPA's tender team comprising Graham Spicer (Chair, IT Strategy Group), Craig Poxon (Development Chair) and Adrian Bond (Communications Chair) who together have expertise in IT and commercial contracts.
BPA's contract with 3Si is due to be finalised during mid-August so the discovery phase of work can begin and a timeline be agreed.
3Si Director Pete Sinclair said, '3Si are delighted to have been selected as BPA's supplier of choice for their new PIMS and web hub after a competitive tendering process. We believe that our software solutions will provide the BPA with the functionality that they require to ensure an effective and efficient member relations management system to support BPA's pivotal role as the national governing body for the sport. Our CRM Development and CMS Creative teams are excited to be working on such a fantastic project and we are honoured to be able to add such a prestigious client as BPA to our growing client list.'
Independent scrutineers Mi-Voice have provided the result of the BPA membership survey about choice of visual identity for our new trading name of British Skydiving - see it here. The survey also gave members who took part in it the opportunity to include free text comments - the Communications Committee is analysing these and the outcome will be published in due course. May we thank all members who participated in the survey, which had a 37% turnout. Council will be considering the result at its next meeting on Tuesday 7 August.
BPA Members - If you've not already opted in to the BPA e-Newsletter, you can do this now using the link here. The newsletter comes out once every couple of months, in non-Mag months, and is a great way to keep in touch with what's going on in the sport.
We're consulting with full members by a membership survey on visual identity options for our upcoming new trading name of British Skydiving. If you're a current full member and haven't received the survey email, please check your spam folder first, then email support[at]mi-voice.com with your name and BPA membership number. The survey closes on Monday 2 July at 23:59.
