Refurbished BPA HQ is offically open!

BPA HQ in Leicester officially re-opened on 21 February after a complete refurb - though we never closed! Pictured (l to r) are Martin Soulsby (Chair), with ribbon-cutters Dilys Price OBE, the world's oldest female skydiver, and 16-year-old Matthew Stevens, our youngest full member at the nominal completion date of the refurbishment last December. The re-opening was a great gathering of the clans, including founder member Bernard Green; and long-time NCSO, and current member of the Vice Presidential team John Hitchen, who was presented with the BPA Jim Crocker Sword Award for his outstanding contribution to sport parachuting.

Official re-opening of BPA HQ

Truth be told, we never closed! But as the days get longer and we look forward to spring, BPA HQ in Leicester LE2 9TF has its official re-opening ceremony at 11:30 for noon on Tuesday 21 February. The event is expected to last for an hour or so and the media has been invited. Members are welcome to attend providing you let us know in good time, so we don't run out of twiglets! Parking will be at a pay-and-display car park in nearby Blaby with a minibus shuttle to BPA HQ. We'll provide joining instructions to those who are on our list of expected members and guests. For members who visited before the refurb, you won't recognise the old place!
