Directions
Langar Airfield is 12 miles South East of Nottingham and 5 miles South of Bingham on the border of Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. The Airfield is between the villages of Langar and Harby. The Parachute School is located in the Control Tower building on the Airfield.

By Bus: From the Broadmarsh Centre Bus Station in Nottingham, Bartons Buses Number 22 or 22b run to Langar village; 22b passes the Airfield after the village, so ask the driver to drop you off. It is a 1 mile walk otherwise.

By Train: Mainline to Nottingham or Grantham. Then taxi to the Airfield or, from Nottingham, buses as above. The Broadmarsh Centre Bus Station is about 5 minutes walk from Nottingham Train Station.

By Car: Using an up-to-date road atlas will help! A proper road map can be downloded via our website. Use the following directions...

From M1 South: leave the motorway at junction 21a and follow signs for A46 Newark. Langar is signposted to the right from the A46, at a crossroads with a petrol station (if you get to the A52, you have gone too far). Follow this road to its end at a T junction at Langar village. Turn right towards Harby. Going towards Harby from Langar Village, the Airfield is on your left, about 1 mile from Langar, a few hundred yards past the 'John Deere' factory (also on your left). You have gone too far if you go past some factories on your right: the Airfield entrance is just before these.

From M1 North: Leave the motorway at Junction 25 and follow the A52 (which becomes the Nottingham ring road) and signs for Grantham. Keep heading for Grantham until you reach the large roundabout signposted A46 Leicester to the right. Take this road. After about 3 miles Langar is signposted to your left at a crossroads with a petrol station.

A1 North or South: At Grantham take the A52 towards Nottingham. You will see signs for Langar to your left as you pass the town of Bingham (which is on your right). Langar is about 5 miles south of the A52. Go past Langar village, heading towards Harby. Going towards Harby from Langar Village, the Airfield is on your left, about 1 mile from Langar, a few hundred yards past the 'John Deere' factory (also on your left). You have gone too far if you go past some factories on your right: the Airfield entrance is just before these.
